Hon. Divina Opelanio

City Councilor

Coun. Divine became part of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) in 2013 until 2019. In her years as a Municipal Councilor, she authored many ordinances such as An Ordinance Mandating the Establishment of Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Desk in Every Barangay of the Municipality of Calaca, Batangas, An Ordinance Enacting the Investment Incentive Code of the Municipality of Calaca, Batangas, An Ordinance Amending the Local Code on Children of the Municipality of Calaca, Batangas.

In 2022, she won again a post in the then SB. Currently, being the head of the Committee on Tourism, she has authored the following ordinances: 

  • An Ordinance Institutionalizing Corrida de Cavalos en Ciudad de Calaca
  • An Ordinance Institutionalizing Calacatchara Festival
  • An Ordinance Approving and Adopting the New Corporate or Official Seal of the City of Calaca
  • An Ordinance Approving and Adopting the New Official Anthem of the City of Calaca

As a City Councilor, she is the Chairman of the Committee on Social Welfare, Women and Family Affairs, and Senior Citizens and Committee on Tourism as mentioned above. She is the vice-chairperson of the Committee on Health and Sanitation, and Committee on Cooperatives.
