A wave of significant development is currently underway in Calaca City, signaling a promising future for both the local economy and its residents. Over the past several months, three major companies have expressed a keen interest in establishing a presence in the city, with plans to become part of Calaca’s dynamic business community as Calaca Corporate Citizens, or CALACORZEN.

The City of Calaca welcomed Taiheiyo Cement Philippines, a leading cement company in Japan. It is a renowned manufacturer of premium cement which operates internationally. The management from the Taiheiyo Cement and officials from the City Government of Calaca attended the Safety Prayer Ceremony held on September 26, 2024 at Puting Bato West to to invoke protection, safety, and divine guidance for the partnership.

Another leading company is making a significant investment in the City of Calaca. Monde Nissin, a company behind well-known and quality products such as Lucky Me, Sky Flakes, M.Y.San FITA and Grahams, Monde, Nissin, Quorn, and Cauldron among others also expressed their intention to be part of the CALACORZEN. Monde Nissin committed to support Calacazens aged 35-50, to support LGBTQ+ people, and to provide employment to the people of Calaca and to people from the entire district. 

The Land Bank of the Philippines – Calaca joined the rank of the newest Calacorzens in the city. Its sincere commitment to support Calacazens in achieving their financial goals. In addition, Land Bank Calaca aims to support local businesses. Overall, Land Bank Calaca will contribute to the sustained growth and development of Calaca.

These partnerships with the aforementioned corporate entities will further bolster Calaca City’s economy. This, in turn, will aid in improving the welfare of Calacazens through the City Government’s Programs, Projects, and Activities. Local employment will be generated and opportunities will increase to sustain the upward trajectory of the City’s financial position.
