Public Consultation on the Proposed Schedule Desktop

CITY OF CALACA — In a move toward greater transparency and equitable taxation, the City Government of Calaca, through the Office of the City Assessor, invites all Calacazens, property owners and stakeholders to participate in a series of Public Consultations on the Proposed Schedule of Market Values (SMV).

The consultations will be held on Monday and Tuesday, April 6 and 7, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the Nasa Gawa People’s Hall, Barangay Madalunot, Calaca City.

Standardizing Valuation through RPVARA

This initiative is pursuant to Republic Act No. 12001, otherwise known as the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA). Enacted to modernize the country’s real property valuation system, RPVARA mandates the adoption of a single, uniform valuation standard based on prevailing market values.

Through the updating of market values, the City Government of Calaca aims to:

  • Ensure Fairness – Align property assessments with current market conditions.
  • Enhance Transparency – Establish a clear, data-driven basis for real property taxation.
  • Boost Local Development – Strengthen the city’s fiscal capacity to support “NASA GAWA” flagship programs in education (Nasa Isip), health (Nasa Lakas), and infrastructure (Nasa Tibay).

Why Your Voice Matters

The City Government underscores that “Serbisyong mabilis at tapat (fast and honest service) thrives on active citizen participation. These consultations provide an avenue for property owners, real estate professionals, and residents to:

  1. Review the proposed unit values across different land classifications (Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Agricultural);
  2. Seek clarification on how the updated valuations may affect future tax declarations; and
  3. Submit comments, inputs, or recommendations prior to the finalization of the SMV.

Who Should Attend?

All real property owners, licensed real estate brokers, appraisers, business owners, and other interested stakeholders within the City of Calaca are strongly encouraged to attend.
