2. CROP AND BOAT INSURANCE APPLICATION
The City Agriculture Office supports subsistence farmers and fisherfolk by helping them
secure insurance coverage for their crops and fishing vessels through the Philippine
Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC). This program provides financial assistance to
approved applicants in cases of crop damage due to natural disasters, pests, or
diseases, as well as damage to fishing vessels. The first step in availing of this service
is to submit a Crop and Boat Insurance Application.

4. FISHERFOLKS (FishR) AND BOAT (BoatR) REGISTRATION
In accordance with RA 8550, an act focused on the development, management, and
conservation of fisheries and aquatic resources, as well as Executive Order 305, which
pertains to the registration of fishing vessels, the City Agriculture Office facilitates the
registration of local fisherfolk and their fishing vessels. This registration, as stipulated
under Section 05 of City Ordinance No. 08 190, remains valid for a period of three (3)
years.
