The City Agriculture Office supports subsistence farmers and fisherfolk by helping them
secure insurance coverage for their crops and fishing vessels through the Philippine
Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC). This program provides financial assistance to
approved applicants in cases of crop damage due to natural disasters, pests, or
diseases, as well as damage to fishing vessels. The first step in availing of this service
is to submit a Crop and Boat Insurance Application.
