The City Planning and Development Office keeps information about the City, its development plans such as land use plan, city development strategies, socio-economic profile, statistics, maps and city governance data. Information about the city is generally requested by investors, people in the business sector, researchers, students and tourists.

An efficient and effective department committed to formulate multi-sectoral development plans geared towards the attainment of a more progressive city.

Mission

Formulate development plans of the Local Government Unit of Calaca and conduct continuing research and studies necessary to evolve plans, programs and activities of the LGU.

List of Services and Programs

Formulation of integrated economic, social, physical, and other development plans and policies for consideration of the local government development council.
Conduct continuing studies, researches, and training programs necessary to evolve plans and programs for implementation;
Integrate and coordinate all sectoral plans and studies undertaken by the different functional groups or agencies;
Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the different development programs, projects and activities in the City in accordance with the approved development plan;
Prepare Comprehensive plans and other development planning documents for the consideration of the local development council;
Analyze the income and expenditure pattern, and formulate and recommend fiscal plans and policies for consideration of the finance committee of the City as provided under the Local Government Code of 1991;
Promote people participation in development planning within the City;
Exercise supervision and control over the secretariat of the Local Development Council; and
Perform such other function and duties and exercise such other power as provided under the Local Government Code of 1991, as amended, and those that are prescribed by law or ordinance.

CITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Biography

He earned his degree in Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Batangas in 2009 and his Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration at the Batangas State University (BSU) in 2004. He graduated from the University of the Philippines Open University in 2019 with a degree in Master of Public Management, Major in Public Policy and Program Administration. Atty. Jared completed his Political Management Course at the prestigious Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Academy of Political Management as a scholar. He also held teaching positions as a faculty member and guest lecturer in BSU, teaching Administrative Law, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Legal Management and Rural and Urban Planning, among others. Aside from being a lawyer, he is also a licensed Environmental Planner.
