The City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) is under the administrative supervision of the Local Chief Executive to whom he shall report regularly on the tax collection efforts and financial status of the local government unit.

 

The City Treasurer’s Office plays a vital role in the revenue generation of the City of Calaca to support the various endeavors, development programs and projects of the local government to a more progressive and competent city of Calaca.

 

Aside from its mandates, the City Treasurer’s Office also plays an integral part in both local and national elections in the country. The Office takes custody of election paraphernalia, supplies and materials as are entrusted to him under the law or rules of the Commission and is responsible for their preservation and storage, and for any loss, destruction, impairment or damage of any election equipment, material or document in their possession as mandated by the Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines.

The City of Calaca achieved the economic prosperity, financial security and sustainable growth through proper and judicious administration of local taxes, effective records management system, and established competent and dedicated service providers to the clients.

We commit to create proficient and client-centric manpower who will help the department’s holistic approach for efficient and effective revenue collections and prudent financial management that will help the city of Calaca move forward.

Atty. Lita M. Tenorio-Maligaya

Biography

In her two decades of being a public servant, Atty. Lita Tenorio-Maligaya has held various positions in both the judicial and executive branches of the government. The current City Treasurer was recognized as the Top 6 in the conducted Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE) in 2017. In addition, she received several distinctions for being one of the Top Collecting Officers in the Province of Batangas, and in the country. She completed both her bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and Bachelor of Laws at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. Lastly, she was elected as the Vice President of the Association of Region IV-A Treasurer and Assessor (ARIVATAS) – Batangas Chapter in 2019.
